The allied Army of the Netherlands was led by the Duke of Wellington during the Hundred Days campaign of 1815. Within this diverse force were two cavalry brigades from the Netherlands - one composed of light cavalry and one heavy brigade of Carabiniers. This included a Belgian regiment and two Dutch regiments, the Belgians standing out in their polished steel helmets and blue tunics. But do not misunderstand, these soldiers were not just for show. Under the command of General Trip van Zoudtlandt, they repeatedly engaged the French on the day of battle, with 40% of them having recently served in Napoleon's army. Although Dutch and Belgian troops likely did not carry colors at Waterloo, a flag sheet has been included for wargamers who enjoy seeing their units proudly display their colours. This box contains 12 mounted Warlord ResinTM figures, a flag sheet, and plastic bases.
